We feel that we shouldn’t struggle with that, we shouldn’t wrestle with that, shouldn’t have those doubts because we’ve been in church all these years. So in the end we talk about confessing our sins to one another, walking openly with one another and those of us who have been in church the longest are much more apt to go ‘I can’t do that because if I said I struggle with that or I confess doing that how would other people look at me?’ and we’ll be the ones with secret sin, completely eaten up with doubt, wars waging in our soul but we’ll never come clean because we’ve been in church our whole lives and we will lose face around our church friends. ‘But man, if I said where I really was and what I really struggle with and what I really doubt and what I really believe about God everyone in this room would know I was a fake!!’ Well okay but YOU ARE! If you would just say it you wouldn’t be a fake anymore!! To which anyone who is honestly is following Christ would respond..
‘me too.’
‘me too.’
